Wow! Since my original post, #1 bought a townhouse, #2 & #5 just got an apartment together, and I hear #3 has plans to go back to finish her degree in the Fall. Two are left in High School, #7 the youngest, and #6 is to graduate May 2021. #4 hasn't made her way out into the world just yet.
For myself, I've decided to keep focus on helping others pro-age. I can't believe it, but the receptionist at the chiropractor's office thought I was in my 30's. Over the years, I've been mistaken to be 10 years younger...but 20+ years younger? I just turned 60 years old this past December!! Yes, I still have the weight to lose, maybe not quite as much as before. But at 60, I feel better than when I did at 50, and I thought I felt great then! You can't imagine what true health feels like until you stop feeling things you thought were normal pieces of aging.
I decided to re-start this blog thing because I want people to have hope and I want to share ideas. I want to stop seeing people suffering with illnesses that they could possibly change with the healing of their gut by adding pure whole food to their diet. I'm seeing people much younger than myself having to go through surgery to remove toes, having eye surgery because they have cataracts, or other inflammatory diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis my mom is going through.
There are so many things that are contributing factors to people becoming sick and dying. Hopefully, you will join me on this journey of discovering what they are, how they can affect our lives, and what we can do instead.
I'm not criticizing doctors, but a friend told me today that her doctor said that she would have to be on prescriptions the rest of her life. Not satisfied with that, she did some digging on the internet, changed her diet to organic foods, changed out products she was using on her skin, laundry, and cleaning. She went from being in bed with horrible pain, to being able to go around and share her story. While I listened to her today, I thought to myself, that we were on similar roads health wise, only I got off and switched foods and products sooner, which change the trajectory of where we were headed. By the way, when she went back to the doctor, her doctor was amazed and asked how she did it. I'm sorry to say, unless they "specialize" in nutrition, most doctors are unaware of how to advise their patients in this area first. But then again, it's easier for someone to take a pill than change their diet and there is the liability factor of the patient not following a diet plan to self correct the direction of disease.
For now, I'll leave this with you. Watch "What's with Wheat?" You can find it on YouTube and Amazon Prime. Let me know what thoughts come to mind after watching it!
